2007 Exame Sustainability Guide praises Promon and 19 others out of 206 firms altogether

Promon, a Brazilian company that specializes in the design, integration and implementation of complete infrastructure for key economic sectors, ranks among the country’s top 20 business organizations for corporate social responsibility and sustainability, according to Guia Exame de Sustentabilidade 2007, which assessed 206 firms. The announcement was made on November 27 during an event held at Teatro Alfa in São Paulo.

The Exame sustainability guide is a yearbook with the findings of the largest survey of corporate sustainability practices conducted in Brazil. The leading business magazine, which publishes the guide, partners with the Center for Sustainability Studies (GVces), a unit of Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo (FGV-SP)..

Ever since Promon was founded in 1960, one of its core beliefs has been that business organizations are key protagonists of social development and as such play a major role, both by example and through their actions, in building a more prosperous and fairer society. It applies this principle in all its day-to-day activities, cultivating ethical and transparent relationships with communities, clients, suppliers and government as well as with its own staff, and striving to be a responsible steward of the environment.
