Promon joins ISR’s Global High Performance Benchmark

12/08/2006
Financial performance and effective people management are basis for Promon’s inclusion in select group of 33 benchmark companies worldwide
Promon, a Brazilian company dedicated since 1960 to designing, integrating and implementing infrastructure solutions for key sectors of the economy in Brazil and abroad, has been included in the 2006 edition of the ISR Global High Performance Norms. Comprising data from organizations with both above-average financial performance in their industry and effective people management evidenced by strongly favorable employee opinions across a broad range of issues, the ISR Global High Performance Norms offer a benchmark for organizations wanting to compete more aggressively and make better use of job satisfaction surveys. The 33 companies classed by ISR as high performance include AstraZeneca, Chevron, General Mills, SAP, Visa International, Wrigley, and now Promon. Promon is one of only two Latin American companies in the group (the other is Mexican) and has the second smallest workforce in the 2006 edition. According to William Kotas, ISR’s regional director for Latin America, this is an indication that Promon is a world leader in people management. “Being a global high performance benchmark means employees express a very high opinion of the organization in response to questions on engagement and workplace climate,” he said. “We were also impressed by the fact that Promon outperformed all other global benchmark organizations on 30 of the common items,” Kotas continued. “Every year we analyze hundreds of candidate organizations and eliminate more than 90% for one reason or another. Congratulations to Promon for its leadership both in financial performance and in the assessments of its own staff.”
