Since August 2006 Promon has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative comprising some 5,200 companies from all regions of the world, as well as governments, NGOs and other civil society organizations. Promon wins second place in Project Management Top of Mind Awards
Promon won second place in the Project Management Top of Mind Awards for the 2008 Brazilian Project Management Benchmarking Study conducted by several chapters of the Project Management Institute (PMI). The announcement was made on November 27 during the opening session of the Fifth National Forum on Benchmarking in Project Management.
The study asked respondents to name the companies they recalled spontaneously when thinking of excellence in project management. Promon was one of the three most frequently cited companies, along with Petrobras and IBM, reaffirming its leading position.
This was the sixth edition of the PMI Benchmarking Study. It covered 373 front-ranking Brazilian companies in eight different industries and located in nine states. They were evaluated on the basis of eight key project management practices: organizational culture, organizational structure, project portfolio management, project management office, processes and methodologies, professional development, support tools, and performance and results.
Petrobras came first and IBM third.
Promon again ranked in top 20 for CSR by Exame Sustainability Guide
Promon ranked among model companies in corporate social responsibility for the third consecutive year, according to the 2008 Exame Sustainability Guide. The announcement was made on October 29 at Teatro Alfa in São Paulo.
This year the number of companies that registered with Exame for the survey reached 177. They are of different sizes, operate in a range of industries, and are located in every region of Brazil. They were all scrutinized to choose what survey calls model companies. This was done in three stages. The first required each company to answer a long questionnaire prepared by Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), covering transparency, corporate governance, financial and economic results, and social and environmental responsibility. In the second stage, the 128 companies that had responded to the questionnaire in full were submitted to a performance analysis taking into account the scores obtained in each dimension of the questionnaire. In the third stage, the 35 companies with the best scores for performance were analyzed by a panel of seven judges under the coordination of FGV’s Center for Sustainability Studies (GVCES). The panel chose the final list of 20 model companies.
For Promon, the award reaffirms its conviction that values such as ethics, integrity, respect and professional and human fulfillment can be reconciled with the creation of economic value for stakeholders, with sustainability as the key defining element in its strategies and plans.
Promon yet again rated one of the ten best places to work
Promon ranks eighth in the 2008 edition of the Exame-Você S/A Guide to the 150 Best Places to Work and is number 1 in the “Sundry Services” category, The announcement was made on September 8 at a ceremony in São Paulo.
The survey, carried out in partnership with the University of São Paulo’s Institute of Management Foundation (FIA), is the largest of its kind in Brazil. It focuses on workplace quality and human resources management.
This edition evaluated 550 companies on strategy and management, leadership, policies and practices, and corporate citizenship More than 143,000 employees responded to questions asking them to rate their companies for identity, satisfaction/motivation, leadership, and learning/development, among other items.
Promon has figured in all 12 editions of the Exame – Você S/A Guide to the 150 Best Places to Work, and is one of only two companies to have achieved this feat in the whole of Brazil.

Promon ranks fourth among the "25 Best Places for Executives to Work in Brazil”, a survey conducted by the Great Place To Work Institute for Época Negócios magazine.
Promon ranked among 100 best places to work in Latin America – 2008
Promon has yet again been rated one of the 100 best places to work in Latin America in a survey by the Great Place to Work Institute.
Over 1,000 companies were surveyed in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The best companies in each country were compared to produce the list of the best in Latin America.
The award ceremony was held on June 4 during the Latin American Conference Great Place to Work Institute 2008 in the city of Monterrey, Mexico.

Promon wins 2007 National Quality Award - 2007
Promon has been publicly announced winner of the 2007 National Quality Award, the most important recognition of management excellence for business organizations in Brazil. The press conference, held on October 30 at the A Figueira Rubaiyat restaurant in São Paulo, was attended by 15 journalists representing the nation’s leading media groups as well as executives from the award-winning companies.
The PNQ recognizes organizations in three ways: as Award Recipients, Finalists, and/or Top Scorers by Criterion. There are five award categories: Large Companies, Medium Companies, Small Companies & Micro Enterprises, Government, and Nonprofits. Four companies won the award this year besides Promon: Albras, Fras-le, Gerdau’s Riograndense Unit, and Petrobras’s Supply Unit. Itaú Private Bank was a Finalist and Brasal Refrigerantes a Top Scorer in “People”.

Promon ranks 7th in the 2007 edition of the Exame/Você S.A. Guide to the 150 Best Places to Work in Brazil. The announcement was made on September 12 at a ceremony held at Vila dos Ipês in São Paulo.
Promon has been named in all 11 editions of the yearbook. It ranked first in 2005 and was elected “Company of the Decade” in 2006. Moreover, it is one of only two companies that have featured in the ranking since the Guide’s inception.
More important than Promon’s position high up in the rank order, however, is the recognition of its sound people management practices and unremitting efforts to provide a pleasant and motivating workplace.

Promon again rated Best Place To Work – 2007
The Great Place To Work Institute and Época magazine announced yesterday in São Paulo the results of the 2007 edition of the 100 Best Places To Work in Brazil survey.
Promon is included for the 11th consecutive year and is one of only two companies that have featured in the ranking since the survey began. It also earns a special mention as one of three companies recognized as outstanding performers in the category Credibility.
Some 235,000 employees of companies that operate in Brazil in a broad cross-section of industries were interviewed for the survey, which uses the methodology patented by The Great Place To Work Institute. The final ranking is based on employee ratings of Respect, Fairness, Pride and Camaraderie, as well as Credibility, and human resource management practices in nine areas: Hiring & Integrating; Inspiring; Talking; Listening; Acknowledging; Developing People (personally and professionally); Caring; Celebrating; Sharing.

Promon is one of the 100 best places to work in Latin America according to a rank order based on a survey by the Great Place To Work Institute.
The survey covered more than 1,000 companies in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The list of the best in Latin America was produced by comparing the best in each country. The only Brazilian companies to rank in the top 100 were Promon and Serasa.
Promon ranks among top 100 corporate citizens - 2007
Promon ranks among the “Top 100 Companies In Corporate Citizenship”, according to an annual survey by Gestão & RH Editora. The findings are based on corporate social responsibility (CSR) statistics, social and environmental balance sheets, and information collected from Instituto Ethos, Bovespa, IBGC, and Exame magazine.
Management and employee achievement is assessed using a questionnaire sent directly to professionals responsible for human resources and CSR in the “1000 Best Brazilian Companies” and the “150 Best Places To Work”.
The companies ranked best as corporate citizens win a prize called Prêmio RH Cidadão, awarded since 2004 to organizations that most encourage employees to engage in CSR activities.
In 2007 the prize went to Serasa, Banco Real ABN Amro, Banco Itaú, Avon Cosméticos, CPFL Energia, Pão de Açúcar and IBM Brazil, as well as Promon.

Promon is one of the 100 most innovative companies in information technology (IT), according to the trade magazine InformationWeek Brasil. The ranking is based on an annual survey designed to recognize, highlight and reward business innovation powered by IT.
Promon included in Exame’s 2006 Guide to Good Corporate Citizenship - 2006
Promon is highlighted as one of ten model organizations in corporate social responsibility by the 2006 edition of the Exame Guide to Good Corporate Citizenship (Guia Exame de Boa Cidadania Corporativa). The guide is a yearbook published by Exame, a leading Brazilian business magazine, with the aim of disseminating and encouraging best practice in CSR and sustainability. Its findings are based on a annual survey, which this year covered 201 firms of all sizes throughout Brazil. The ten leaders in CSR were selected from a group of 25 finalists by evaluating the degree to which CSR and sustainability are integrated with business strategy as well as employee engagement and stakeholders relations, among other items.
Promon wins Top of Mind in Project Management Prize - 2006
Promon has won first place alongside Petrobras in a survey carried out by several Brazilian chapters of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
The Top of Mind in Project Management Prize resulted from the 2006 Brazil Project Management Benchmarking Survey, which evaluated 280 leading Brazilian companies on eight critical items relating to project management practice: organizational culture, organizational structure, project portfolio management, project management office, processes and methodologies, professional development, support tools, and performance and results. This is the fourth edition of the survey.
Promon and Petrobras were the most frequently cited names in response to the survey question, “When you think of excellence in project management, what is the first company that comes to mind?” This result reaffirms Promon’s leadership in project management.
CVRD (Companhia Vale do Rio Doce) and IBM tied for second place. HP came third.
Promon is one of the finalists of the National Quality Award - 2006
Promon is one of the finalists of the 2006 National Quality Award (PNQ). The award recipient is Belgo Siderurgia S.A. – Monlevade mill. The finalists are Promon S.A., Fras-le S.A., and Eaton Ltda. – Automotive Transmission & Commercial Vehicle Division.
Now in its 15th edition, the PNQ is considered the most important recognition of management excellence for business organizations in Brazil. The award is designed to encourage the country’s cultural, political, scientific, technological, economic and social development, and to provide a model against which organizations can benchmark continuous improvement.
The PNQ recognizes organizations in three ways: as Award Recipients, Finalists, and/or Top Scorers by Criterion. There are five award categories: Large Companies, Medium Companies, Small Companies & Micro Enterprises, Government, and Nonprofits. For the National Quality Foundation (FNQ), which administers the PNQ, both award recipients and finalists are winners of the assessment process.

The award ceremony takes place on November 27, with Brazil’s business leaders and senior government officials in attendance.

Promon is the best company in Brazil in the Engineering & Construction category and the best in human resources management according to a ranking by IstoÉ Dinheiro, a leading business weekly, and Trevisan Consultants.
The ranking, known as "As Melhores da Dinheiro", is based on a survey of more than 500 top companies in all major segments of the Brazilian economy. It is the only survey of its kind to rank companies based not only on financial performance but also on management efficiency and effectiveness in key areas such as innovation, social responsibility, environment, and human resources.

Promon is the company of the decade for its outstanding performance in all ten editions of Guia Exame-Você S.A. It has figured in every yearbook since publication began and has ranked four times among the top ten places to work in Brazil. It came first in 2005 and fourth in 2006.
Promon's performance has been the most consistent of all those at the top of the list since the ranking was created, collecting 335 stars in the last ten years. Promon received first prize in the Design & Consultant Engineers category at a ceremony held on August 9, 2005, by O Empreiteiro magazine. This was the second consecutive year in which Promon ranked first in the category. O Empreiteiro surveys some 2,500 Brazilian engineering firms via questionnaires and an analysis of their financial statements.
