The successful performance of the commitments undertaken by Promon Engenharia are achieved primarily on the strength of the company’s competencies in the fields of engineering, procurement, management, as well as construction and assembling.
E (engineering and consulting)
EPC (engineering, procurement, construction and assembling)
EPCM (engineering, procurement and construction management)
Promon’s strategic competences are cultivated through Competence Centers. These centers assure continuous updating of the organization’s technical knowledge and focus on the management of people, knowledge, and practices such as project management, engineering, supply management, and construction and assembly.
Project Management
Promon recognizes competence in project management as fundamental to achievement of its business objectives, execution of its designs, and the continuous and intense pursuit of excellence. Project management work processes are divided into seven areas (scope, time, procurement, risk, cost, human resources, and communication) defined by their knowledge requirements.
All policies, processes, practices and procedures associated with project management competence are referenced in consolidated form to the Promon Management System (SPG).
The SPG is based on the basic principles adopted by the Project Management Institute (PMI), especially in the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide).
The SPG’s structure also includes innovative elements customized on the basis of Promon’s expertise and track record in project management, forming a methodology applicable to all of the company’s projects.
Promon’s staff are now highly specialized in project management and 95 of its professionals are certified in the field.
Engineering
The Engineering Competence Center provides permanent training and development for Promon’s professionals in pursuit of technical excellence, including specialization and technical education programs, as well as courses in Brazil and abroad.
The Engineering Competence Center covers all engineering segments. Activities focus on the technical disciplines of piping, mechanics, processes, instrumentation and automation, civil and software engineering, and telecommunications, in which teams are trained for the corporate voice and data market.
Procurement Management
Promon’s vision is that organizations are part of permanently changing ecosystems and as such must configure themselves as webs of networks interconnecting a variety of players through different forms of collaboration.
The network of partners and suppliers is one of the key elements in such a wider web. Under the coordination of the Procurement Management Competence Center, Promon is dedicated to creating, strengthening and efficiently managing this network, which must be capable of meeting the needs of each project in a timely and competitive manner and in accordance with the highest standards of quality.
Construction & Assembly
Promon has intensified activities in this competence via engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, also known as turnkey contracts. Its basis for this is its expertise in project implementation, from the standpoint of both engineering development and the management of activities geared to construction and electromechanical assembly.
Work processes are constantly enhanced and new investments made annually in the training of field teams in matters relating to the environment, safety, and quality.
Activities integrated with project implementation, such as expediting, commissioning, training, startup and pre-operation, are also regularly upgraded by means of continuous improvement. As a result, Promon carries out activities to completion in all contracts, fully complying with established requirements and guaranteeing client satisfaction. |
