Promon Engenharia’s activities in oil & gas, often under EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contracts, encompass the entire supply chain from production and transportation to refining and distribution.
In the oil and gas industry, Promon Engenharia is active in the implementation of assets for petroleum companies, by means of EPC (engineering, procurement, construction and assembling) contracts.
The company develops activities comprising specialized engineering, domestic and international procurement, electromechanical construction and assembly, as well as assistance for the pre-operation and start-up of platforms and productions plants.
Production Promon Engenharia’s portfolio of completed projects in this area include offshore oil platforms such as Vermelho I, II and III and Albacora I in the Campos basin, Rio de Janeiro, and Ubarana II in the Potiguar basin, Rio Grande do Norte. It implemented an auxiliary power generating system for Petrobras’s P-33 floating production, storage and offloading unit (FPSO) under an EPC contract. In partnership with Halliburton, it managed and applied an operational training program for Petrobras’s FPSOs in the Barracuda and Caratinga fields.
Refining Promon Engenharia’s very first contract in 1961 was to implement four units at Petrobras’s Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), and it has been actively involved in the refining segment ever since. Projects executed under engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for Petrobras include four MTBE units and offsites at Replan, Reduc, Revap and Repar, installation of a flare at RLAM, and implementation of a natural gas processing plant at the Guamaré industrial complex, Rio Grande do Norte, including a diesel production unit and offsites.
Transportation In the transportation segment of oil, gas and their by products, Promon Engenharia is active in the stages of engineering projects, procurement and the implementation of undertakings under EPC contracts. With such projects as the laying of submarine pipes in the Santos Basin, receiving and storage terminals for raw oil and its byproducts, ducts at refineries and petrochemical complexes, and gasoducts to feed a NGPU.
Gas In the gas segment, Promon Engenharia participated in the implementation of the Porto Feliz Delivery Point and the improvement in the southwest network of gas ducts, adapting and modernizing the electrical systems, automation and measurement of 16 citygates in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais. The southwest network covers roughly 1,300 km of natural gas ducts.
